Buick Site Redesign

I was hired by Leo Burnett Detroit as User Experience Lead on the General Motors rebrand for buick.com. In order to elevate the brand and feature the new product line, I created concepts, user flows, brand style guide application rules, rich interactive content, and responsive, contextual layout templates. My layouts and flows were used throughout the website, and many of my design innovations were adopted for use on the GMC website.

When our partner agency asked for additional grid arrangements, I saw an opportunity. A limited grid made for serious functionality difficulties. I proposed that the grid should be opened to any possible arrangement. This was a watershed moment in our entire design system. It was applauded by the client and implemented immediately.
The breakthrough came when I requested the entire grid to be made available: a single change that gave us unlimited flexibility
As Senior User Experience Designer, I was a leading exponent of improving end-usability, site performance and WCAG compliance. By requesting and analyzing user research to design user centered solutions, I held the team to the highest production standards within the General Motors brand message, styles, and development environment.

GMC Site Redesign
The website for General Motors sibling brand GMC was being developed concurrently by our team. During the page flow and layout process, I worked in close collaboration with the head of UX, lead designers and developers to workshop solutions that could be carried across both implementations.
My eCommerce work was used throughout both sites, and I developed the structure of both accessories websites by implementing our brand guides and product card layouts.
